An update...
Everything is now working well with the site. I've just logged on, and
at the same time Mobileme was busy syncing a lot of keychains for the
site. Once that had happened, no more problems.

then told that I have to select the certificate I use when I
connect to the site and click continue.
I'm then given a drop down list of 6 certificates, 5 expired. I
then click on the cah44 MobileMe Sharing Certificate, which says
it is valid. I press "continue" but I then just get the same
message bos again, and can't proceed, regardless of how many times
I choose the correct certificate and press continue.
