Our printer is a Canon MG5250 all-in-one which produces perfectly good scans for everyday use and has proved very useful as a low volume copier. The MG5250 is one of the quite few printers that can print onto printable CD/DVDs which much influenced our choice. Am also slowly transferring the thousands of photos prints and slides taken over 50 years using a Canon 4400F scanner as it has a slide adapter in its lid. To my eye this produces better results when scanning photos than the all-in-one. One observation is that Canon aren't all that good on keeping their software current with Apple’s OS releases but there are alternatives such as that from Hamrick - Vuescan.
