AutoCAD is truly dreadful. It's so bad (for designing) that I went to visit AutoDESK to ask them what it was for, since it was useless for design.
They said it was for making legal documents. Industry standard (what a truly dreadful concept) it is an enormous impediment to designing. Honest, guv! Ouch!
