I was wondering if my beloved iPad was reaching the end of its life because it was crashing frequently, usually when I was reading The Guardian. I even went so far as to make an appointment with the genius bar next week. Then I discovered that there was an update to IOS5.1 Now I have done this, no more crashes. I pass this on in case others' iPads are also misbehaving.
