Just to confirm. Cancom AG sold Cancom Ltd to TRAMS Ltd who are a London based value added Reseller. Unfortunately the Stores wasn't part of their ongoing plan so they closed Brighton and Edinburgh on the day of the take over and closed Kensington a few days later. It's a shame for the stores, especially Brighton which was close to my heart as I managed the store from when it opened in 2000 until I moved on in the company in 2009. I'm afraid it's a difficult business to be in and even harder when you have an Apple store on your door step. Apple do things very well making it almost impossible to compete. It's business as usual for the head office here in Guildford where I work. We're moving in a more services related way but I'm still available if anyone needs my help with anything, although please contact me directly, not via smug. Apparently they want to "concentrate on the Corporate Business and Education sales". Anyway I would like to report that I was able to get the new iPad 3 delivered to me at short notice in late March when availability was apparently low by emailing their man Darren Terry (a SMUG follower). I have even had a go on it now the kids are back at school! The only leather cover they had at the time was the tan one. I was a bit disappointed when it arrived as it looks just like a bit of cardboard - I have picked up the wrong thing a couple of times - but I am now thinking it might make it less attractive to thieves.
