Hi, Thanks Chris for all the help I hadn't appreciated the Time Machine files would also increase. I was just wondering if iPhoto could cope with very large collections. I normally export my iPhoto library on to a second hard drive as a backup so I will deselect iiPhoto from my Time Machine backups. I am not a great lover of Photoshop and Aperture may be too powerful for my needs. Does anyone use Pixlemator or is there another product out there that might be useful? When I took the original pictures I sorted out the duff ones then so I am still left with a very large collection that is definitely needed, but thanks for the suggestion Jason. Regards Phil Townrow
