HI All

My Apple iCloud account was frozen by apple yesterday for security reasons, the
gist is that on Tuesday night i switched off my machine and when i got up in
morning I'd been locked out of my account. I tried reseting my iCloud password
but my DOB had changed and a few other things had been altered! . Anyhow I
phoned apple and had a nice chat, they said and I quote ' Ah yes your account
is one of those locked out for security reasons' (make what you will of that,
Hmmm) but after a nice long conversation where i had to confirm all my details
including 1st four and last four digits of my credit card they sent me a link
to my works account to finally reset my iCloud password, the only problem was
that I was told it will reset after eight hours.(I wonder what they where doing
in that time possibly running around trying to bung up a few holes?) I waited
the eight hours and finally reset my accounts password.

This afternoon I received another email from Apple saying my accounts password
had again tried to be reset but not to fear it's secure and it was probably
someone just mistyping when trying to reset their own password! (yeah believe
that one) . So I believe without any other evidence that Apple may have been
now how shall i put it delicately ,'targeted' and I would strongly suggest
that any iCloud users change their passwords fairly soon.

One thing for certain is that you will never hear of a breach if indeed it has
happened.

Changing your password is good advice at anytime even if there has been no
breach, so make of the what you will

Regards all

Ray
