I don’t get that, nothing disappears when I click on Finder, the Word document just moves to the background. What version of Word are you using?

14.0.0.

If that's not the most recent, I'm stuck on it because when I updated last via auto-update, it destroyed my registration details and I had to put back the previous version. I just tried to launch update to see but it's PowerPC, supposedly so won't run!

Annoyingly, Track Changes on Pages is *why* I went to Mavericks today because I have this long Word report to edit, but the Pages to Word and back process has destroyed the numbering of various items. So I now wish I had just coped with being in Word, and would probably have finished --- the reason I have the two open is that I'm manually copying all my changes so far to a fresh version...
