Well Yay and Boo! at the same time...

It seems that if you had an address on .mac you got to keep all the aliases
along the way as they transitioned, but sadly for me it doesn't work in
reverse.  If you sign up for [email protected] you don't retroactively get
the ability to use .mac as well.

Background of this is I had some programs and websites activated years back
to my old .mac address which is long gone,  it dawned on me that I might be
able to enable icloud with my same old alias and magically be able to get
my old email address back but it didn't work out that way.

Still nice to know.
