The incredibly-powerful-yet--supremely-annoying bibliography software
Sente is at it again. They insist you agree to T and C on each update,
however minor, and the latest one has decided to position itself half on
and half off the screen - with the Accept button off the screen.
I can't see it no matter how much I fiddle with monitor settings -- it
doesn't appear on the second monitor. Different display settings lead to
it jumping faithfully to the identical position as does mirroring etc.
And the Accept button is not highlighted so hitting return doesn't help.
They mumbled something about enabling assistive devices which would
enable the space bar to press a button. I also dimly remember this but
can't remembre how to set it up nor has google helped. Does anyone know
which search terms I need/how to do this?
Thanks
PS a tip for those who work in customer support: if you get a very long
email from a patient-yet-frustrated customer describing exactly what's
been tried to fix the problem and then a request to help, don't reply
"wow, this is interesting, that shouldn't happen. It looks like you have
two monitors, with one vertical? Anyway, let us know if you don't manage
to fix it and we'll have a think about it.";)
