Curiously, things are better for me!

Since I've had my iPad Air I've had an issue where on those occasions I
switched on Mobile Data it would show "No Service". Took it into an Apple shop
in Chelmsford and he asked if I'd rebooted. No. We rebooted and it was fine. I
found that if I'd not used mobile data for about 6 hours and then switched it
on it was always "No Service". In Brighton, the guy in the Apple Store said I
should get a new SIM from Orange which I was dubious about given that rebooting
the iPad sorted the issue.

Since installing iOS8 the problem has gone. It's a shame that Apple don't make
SIM cards so that they would have had to sort it there and then.

I do find though that Safari on my iPad Air can take absolutely ages to load a
web page after I've been using it for a while. I've reported it to Apple. The
other night I tried a web page which took about 90 seconds to load on my iPad
Air with iOS8. Picked up my iPod touch running iOS7 and entered the same URL
and it loaded in about 5 seconds!

This last glitch aside (!) I think iOS8 is brilliant - I can save web page
content directly into a specific Evernote notebook, take clippings from Mail or
Safari straight into OmniFocus AND get 1password to fill in all my password
info in Safari. This alone is well worth the £0.00 price of admission in my
view.

When iCloud Drive is working after Yosemite releases I reckon Apple will have
sorted almost everything that's niggled me about iOS and iCloud since first
using it. Brilliant!

One and a half per cent of the UK population are millionaires, for the Cabinet
the figure is 79 per cent. (September 2014)
