Thanks Sam,

Presumably, if the iPad were connected to the PC, there would in theory be time 
to cancel the sync before the iPad music library was wiped? Could then the iPad 
music be copied back to the Windows iTunes library (or to an empty folder that 
iTunes could then import from)?
