This has been bugging me ever since I upgraded to Sequoia.

When I moved a window close to the top of one of my screens (I use three
screens), it expanded automatically to full screen.

This article explains what is happening in Sequoia and how to stop it happening.

The first thing to understand is that Apple doesn’t refer to ‘moving’ windows,
but now refers to ‘tiling’ windows.

There is a lot more functionality for windows in Sequoia and this Tidbit
article explains it well.

Hope this helps someone.
