I’d look at any external peripheral. USB/thunderbolt docks can be a bit flakey sometimes as they manage multiple ports

While I have you (and thanks, appreciate the confirmation) does this mean a thunderbolt drive is definitely not implicated (same physical slot, but it's definitely Thunderwolt not USC C)?

Because that's the only hardware that's changed since the Mac mini that I can think of (which never panicked). (It shouldn't though, surely?)
