You should be able to see what's been using it via Settings (Mobile data). It may have been struggling to get stuff on wifi and switched to mobile.

Or it might be a naughty app; I would look at what's been using your *battery* as an index of what's been most busy. You could also turn off their ability to work in the background and reintroduce apps one at a time. You can also turn off mobile data for apps (google that, for instructions).

I gather Whatsapp have just introduced ads? (I don't use it). That would be a good place to start.

Hi. Hoping someone can suggest what is happening?
I have had a sim only contract for a few years with 14GB data. It had been more than ample all this time, rarely using more than 7 or 8 GB in a month. But as of last month, its been using it up at a terrific rate. 3 GB have gone in the last 3 days? I’ve gone into settings and turned off location services for lots of apps. I’ve also stopped reading Apple News on my phone. I just can’t imagine what has happened? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Thank you
Andrew.
