Hi Peter, It will be easier if you follow how we enabled the hikey board for demo, because that's for Ubuntu Core 16. You can find the kernel and the associated snapcraft.yaml to build the kernel snap at https://code.launchpad.net/~canonical-hwe-team/+git/hikey_linux and the gadget snap at https://code.launchpad.net/~canonical-hwe-team/+git/hikey_gadget_snap.
