Crowe abstained before wedding night
LONDON -- Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe said he went without sex for months
so he could give a maximum performance on his wedding night. "We spent a
lot of time apart -- as in not sharing the same bed," Crowe said. "I
was determined there would be a lot of pent-up energy on the big night -- I
think that is horrible as you go to all the effort to get married and I think
you should consummate it on the night." Crowe said his wife, Danielle
Spencer, became pregnant on their wedding night, the London Sun reported. The
baby is due in January and Crowe has told his friends the baby is a boy, the
Sun said. The wedding was held on Crowe's 800-acre farm in Australia, near
Sydney, at sunset and white balloons were released when the couple said,
"I do." English-born Spencer helped get Crowe in the mood by wearing
a $165,000 figured-hugging Armani wedding dress slashed to the thigh, the Sun
added.
