LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Ireland loves its native son, Colin Farrell.
The 26-year-old actor has garnered two acting nominations from the Irish Film and Television Awards. He is a contender for the best supporting actor in the drama "Intermission" and, in a baffling turn of events, was nominated for best actor for his role in this summer's "S.W.A.T." John Crowley's "Intermission" has also earned ten more nominations in separate categories including best director, best Irish film, two for best supporting actress and an additional one for best supporting actor. Farrell is currently shooting the title role in Oliver Stone's "Alexander" opposite Jared Leto, Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie. The Irish Film and Television Awards will kick off on All Saints Day, Nov. 1. Visit the Irish Film and Television site for a full list of nominees. ________________________________ Changes to your subscription (unsubs, nomail, digest) can be made by going to http://sandboxmail.net/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
