Well when used to describe a medical
condition it means no hope of recovery. For example a terminal cancer
patient would be one that treatments aren't going to help. With any
medical condition there comes a time when only a miracle from God will change
the course.
I am only speaking for myself...if I were in
the condition that this woman is in I would want my family to have the tube
removed. If God were going to heal me miraculously he could do it even
with the tube gone.
That's why I'm "on the fence" on this
case. I see both sides very clearly, and both sides have very valid
points.

I am confused as to how the word "terminal" is used here.
Terminal if she doesn't have a feeding tube? Or... she is about
to die anytime now? We are all terminal... Just curious.

I don't *always* consider a feeding tube life support either. I'm not sure it is in this particular case., particularly if she can learn to eat on her own as the parents maintain. But if the feeding tube is the only thing keeping a person alive then it could be considered life support, in fact in most legal jurisdictions it is considered heroic measures if the patient is terminal./color>
