Coffee May Have Triggered Blair's Attack

British Prime Minister Tony Blair thinks he may have triggered his health scare by drinking too much strong continental coffee at a European Union summit in Brussels. The prime minister started to feel unwell following a two-day summit last week and was hospitalized for tests and later released. Doctors say Blair's irregular heartbeat can be triggered by stress, too much alcohol or too much caffeine, the London Independent reports. "Someone who does not normally drink coffee, then drinks a lot of it, may stimulate their heart in a way that causes this problem to be revealed. But it can come out of the blue as well," says cardiologist Nicholas Peters at St. Mary's Hospital and Imperial College in London.
