Hell I was drinking straight from the bottle when I was 6 months.

I have to agree. Mine ate fries when they were little. They loved them. Of course most of the time, I made them myself and they were baked and not fried

Well the docs say it's "bad" for them to eat earlier than 4 months...actually they say 6 months these days.  I say poppycock.  I was drinking coffee at 6 months!

And the article was talking about how bad it was for kids to eat fries as a toddler?  When both of mine were toddlers they went through a period when we would go out that was *all* they would eat.

I mean sometimes I think the people that come up with these studies are smoking crack.

None of your kids ate cereal before 4 months????            Man, Nicole acted like she was starving at a week and a half or so. Finally at 3 weeks we started mixing cereal in her formula. Thankfully someone from Church had more sense than the hospital or the kid would have starved. lol

29 percent of infants to eat solid food before they were 4 months old.

17 percent to drink juice before 6 months.

20 percent to drink cow's milk before 12 months.

Shortcomings were more pronounced for families receiving financial assistance through the federal Women, Infants and Children program, the study found. More than 40 percent of WIC toddlers did not eat any fruit on the survey day, and those children also drank more sweetened drinks.

now we never started cereal before 4 months or juice before 6 months but we did have to go to regular milk before 12 only because the formula is too dang expensive.  but my kids are too skinny  lol
