Even if they didn't want to paddle, they should still
be disciplined and removed from the class for that day. Why should a
teacher (credentialed or not) be forced to put up with garbage? The
teacher should speak, and if not immediately obeyed then the student should be
removed. No questions, no negotiation, nothing. Adults speak and
children obey. It's really quite that simple.
Back in the day, if you did what t
hose kids did you *would* have been kicked out.....that and had your little
butt paddled in a heart beat.
