Halloween

The treats are all ready to give out.
The kids can't wait to put on their costumes, no doubt.
As soon as it dark they will be going to trick or treat.
At our door we will hear the pitter patter of little feet.

The door bell will ring and "Trick or treat" they will be saying.
We hope we have enough treats we will be praying.
We don't want any tricks for them to be playing.

We don't need soaped windows.
Or a flat tire or two.
So we will try to keep them happy.
So they won't play a trick on you.

Lets keep this a happy Halloween.
And do our best to keep it clean.
No tricks this year.
Just keep it fun and don't be mean.

We will keep the treats coming.
And stay by the door.
As long as they keep coming.
We will give them more.

It's getting late.
I think it is almost done.
OH NO, Now they are coming by the car load.
And still having fun!

I am going to shut the door.
And turn off the light.
To all a happy Halloween.
And to all a good night.
