An Ion Red Line Saturn is the new land speed record holder for small cars. The seemingly simple coupe had an average speed of 212 miles per hour at Utah's world-famous Bonneville Salt Flats that stretch over 30,000 acres of barren land. The record-setting run was set up to demonstrate the small cars' capabilities in extreme conditions, General Motors says in a statement.
