You know, I can actually see Brendan Fraser as Superman, and Natalie Portman as Lois Lane is not an extreme stretch.  I think a better Lois would be some natural blue-eyed brunette, though, like a younger version of Jennifer Connelly (who did a very good job in Hulk, IMO, and those eyes are deadly).  The young woman from Pirates of the Caribbean, Keira Knightley, might be a good choice.
