They said it would cost the university hundreds of millions of dollars, and that's just immediate impact. Wouldn't loss of accreditation essentially ruin the value of an Auburn degree? Especially of a graduate degree? Quite a few people might find themselves out of work, and many more might not be hired in the beginning. I think it would have to be the ultimate nightmare for a university, perhaps worse than the campus getting hit by a F5 tornado, C5 hurricane, or R7 earthquake!
