Tis the season to shop till one drops, but a group of cemeteries located on the outskirts of Buffalo, N.Y., think it is also a great time to "preplan" a funeral. Several large red-and-white signs at cemetery entrances are urging those driving by to consider giving "a holiday gift that lasts forever." Those who make preplanning arrangements by Dec. 22 get a $250 gift certificate at the Buffalo-area mall, the Walden Galleria. This is not the first time this cemetery group's marketing department has come up with an interesting sign. Last summer, they advertised a "Buy one burial plot, get one free" offer.
