LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "Caroline in the City" and "SpaceCamp" star Lea Thompson is set to guest star on NBC's "Ed." The "Casual Sex?" and "Howard the Duck" thespian will do a three-episode arc playing Ed Stevens' (Tom Cavanagh) ex-wife Liz. Regular fans of "Ed" can be forgiven for saying, "But wait, didn't Ed's ex-wife already appear in an episode? And wasn't she played by somebody who totally wasn't Lea Thompson?" Yes, Melissa Errico played Liz in the season two episode "Closure." "Ed" obsessives may even be inclined to asked "But wait, wasn't Ed's ex-wife played by Janeane Garofalo at some point?" Yes, again. Garofalo played Liz in the show's original pilot, which was turned down by CBS. For now, though, there's only the "Some Kind of Wonderful" star. Thompson's episodes will air in early 2004 and will find the former Mrs. Stevens traveling to Stuckeyville with a business proposition for her ex-husband. Liz's arrival will, quite naturally, stir things up as Ed plans for his future with Carol (Julie Bowen). Since making her big screen debut in 1983's "Jaws 3-D" and "All the Right Moves," Thompson has assembled a career of hits ("Back to the Future" and its sequels) and misses (Have we mentioned "Howard the Duck?"). Recent television credits include the Lifetime drama "For the People" and the telefilm "Stealing Christmas." _______________________________________________ Sndbox mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://a8.mewebdns-a8.com/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
