King and Garris Get "Desperation" at ABC
The ABC Network has picked up the rights to Stephen King's adaptation of his novel "Desperation", according to
Variety. While the film was originally slated to be a feature film at New Line, the project languished in development and is now scheduled to air as a three-hour miniseries. Mick Garris (who also directed the King miniseries "The Shining" and "The Stand", also for ABC) has signed on to direct the project, right after he finishes production on a feature film adaptation of King's short story "Riding the Bullet".
