Some May Be Allergic To Christmas

Allergy UK warns the holidays can spark a variety of allergic reactions from food, alcohol and decorations. For example, artificial trees and decorations that collect dust for 11 months of the year can trigger runny noses, sneezing or asthma. The sap in real Christmas trees can trigger the same symptoms in some people, the BBC reports. Santa or reindeer made of fluffy materials can be the new home of dust mites -- one of the main asthma triggers. Dust mites thrive in warm, moist conditions and, once disturbed, can spread and aggravate chest conditions.
