First Gay Family Cruises Planned
Rosie O'Donnell, her partner Kelli O'Donnell, and travel director Gregg Kaminsky have formed R Family Vacations -- the first company devoted to gay and lesbian family vacations. It's inaugural trip in July will be a week-long cruise on the new luxury cruise liner the Norwegian Dawn. R Family Vacations are specially designed so children can meet other children from families just like theirs and parents can relax, according to Kelli O'Donnell. "There are already some great kid's programs on the ship," she says "For adults, there will be discussion groups on adoption, insemination, surrogacy; world-class entertainment and a lot of pampering and relaxation opportunities."
