Well, we weren't poor, but we weren't rich either. I had what I needed, just no extras but thankfully we usually had some good meals. My mom did make livers a lot, but I never ate them. She made brusselsprouts and lima beans a lot too. Had to eat some of that, but just enough to say I ate it.
