Hillary Duff, Foxy Brown to get MTV shows

NEW YORK -- Hillary Duff, Foxy Brown and Cameron Diaz are among the celebrities tapped to get their own MTV shows, according to Thursday's Hollywood Reporter. MTV also is working with Ashlee Simpson, Frankie Muniz and Orlando Jones. Duff, from Disney's "Lizzie McGuire," will star in a reality-based show for MTV. The teen actress/singer also has a CBS sitcom deal, which is unrelated to the MTV show. Brown will star in "Foxy's Family," which follows the hip-hop star as she balances her career with the family who helps her run it. Diaz is slated to star and produce a show chronicling her worldwide adventures, while also addressing specific environmental issues. Muniz, star of Fox's "Malcolm in the Middle," will host a series in which he accompanies real-life high school students living out their fantasies. Jones will lend his voice to the animated series "Chico & Guapo," about janitors trying to break into the music business at the hip-hop recording studio where they work. "7th Heaven" actress Simpson's show will follow her as she makes her first record. Simpson's older sister, singer Jessica Simpson, currently stars in MTV's "Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica."
