CBS Refuses Peta Ad

CBS-TV has refused to play an ad created by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals that shows scantily clad women trying to seduce a pizza man but discover that he can't deliver "the goods." According to PETA spokesman Michael McGraw, the group wants to make the point that eating meat causes impotence, CNN/Money reports. PETA says it was willing to pay $2 million to the network to have the commercial aired during its Super Bowl broadcast on Feb. 1. Dana McClintock, CBS spokesman, says the network rejected the ad because of its "general policy against airing advocacy advertisements." "Our ad has all three of advertising's most popular elements -- sex, humor and animals -- so the network should jump on it," PETA says.
