I was never a liberal, though I used to
consider myself moderate. That was while I was in college. College
students are often more liberal than real people. I was still registered
democrat until 1998 though I more often voted republican. With each
passing year I become more conservative.
I knew GWB was not a conservative, but
compared to Al the Bore he's Atilla the Hun. I'll vote for him this time
too, but I can guarantee if the republicans would run a true conservative
against Bush I'd support him instead.
Cheney for President....

Charles, this is the same issues I have had
for years. And yes, President Bush has truly opened my eyes as of late to his
moderate/liberal side.

He differs from me in a lot more that
that....LOL...Koch is an liberal by his own admission....*BUT* he's not one of
the blame America first crowd. When he was Mayor of NYC conservatives
and liberals alike said he was fair minded.
I fully admit I don't understand the
liberal position. I don't understand the love of socialism, and the love
of big government. The latter is one reason I am become less and less
pleased with Bush.

Ed Koch proved to me that he is an American. He differs from
you on the role that Government should play in taking care of poor (lazy)
people.

The Republican Party's philosophy, on the other hand,
can be summed up as: "If I made it on my own, you will have to do
the same." _______________________________________________ Sndbox
