LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - A little over a week after first expressing interest in NBC's untitled comedy from Matt Tarses and Bill Wrubel, Alyson Hannigan has signed on, boosting that pilot's fortunes.
The project was first mentioned in The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday, Jan. 7, when it was mentioned that NBC was hoping to make it into a vehicle for the former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star. Hannigan has had a talent deal with the network since October. The series comes from NBC Studios and will be executive produced by Karey Burke, Wrubel, and siblings Matt and Jamie Tarses and focuses on the relationship between siblings who haven't spoken in 18 months. Hannigan, most recently seen on the big screen in the third film in the "American Pie" series will next play Sally in a London stage production of the Rob Reiner film "When Harry Met Sally." In other NBC pilot news, the network has picked up two additional comedies, "The Friendlys" and "Everyday Life." "The Friendlys" comes from Robb and Mark Cullen, who previously teamed up on FX's Vegas comedy "Lucky." The new laffer is part of the two-script deal the Cullens signed with NBC this summer. It concentrates on the fight the trophy wife of a deceased candy baron and his daughter over the estate. "Everyday Life" is written and executive produced by Dan and Sue Paige and offers a mix of scripted comedy and improv. Rob Reiner and Alan Greisman will also executive produce. In other NBC news, a comedy from Paul Reiser has been given a cast-contingent pickup. _______________________________________________ Sndbox mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://a8.mewebdns-a8.com/mailman/listinfo/sndbox_sandboxmail.net
