Hello Steve, Normally these files should come and go quickly.
http://kb.armresearch.com/index.php?title=Message_Sniffer.TechnicalDetails.Persistent It's possible that when you reinstalled mxGuard something became confused or improperly configured. Stop processing messages. Clean out any .QUE, .WRK, .XXX, .FIN, .ABT, and .LOCK files in the SNF directory. Make sure your persistent instance is running correctly. One good way to do this is to type the .stat file created by the persistent instance every few seconds. The tictock value should change indicating that the file is being updated by your persistent instance. Start processing messages again. If SNF and the persistent instance are not stopped cleanly then leftover job files can cause some confusion that results in poor performance and/or large numbers of .QUE and other job files to build up. Clearing them out and restarting often solves this problem if nothing else has been changed/broken. Hope this helps, Thanks, _M Friday, July 14, 2006, 4:39:09 PM, you wrote: > I just started getting a bunch of que files in my sniffer dir today after a > reinstall of MXGuard > Ref: > agseap2t-20060714203613x5756511A-5032.QUE > Any idea how to stop these or why they are popping up? > I use sniffer as a persistent instance but maybe it's not working > so these are the hooks that should be firing off the linked files for sniffer > review?? > > Regards, > Steve Guluk > SGDesign > (949) 661-9333 > ICQ: 7230769 > -- Pete McNeil Chief Scientist, Arm Research Labs, LLC. ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list <[email protected]>.
