There are a few things that changed from the beta to the production version, but they are easy to find and the older config should work with the new engine-- Defaults will be used for any settings that are missing.
It would be fairly straight forward to set up v3 with the config that comes with it and then tweak the settings that match to your older config-- then everything should be up to date.
