Thank you Frank! I thought of it as well. It looks like one of the SNMP clients that I am listening for traps from is badly implemented. Is there any way to ignore this message and/or force snmp4j to process the trap as SNMPv1 if the client sends such rogue messages?
I used wireshark to sniff communications between my IDE and remote SNMP client, and I can confirm this nonsense: the trap comes as v2c, but it is actually V1TRAP type.
