The examples I've seen have the following line:
java.security.Security.addProvider(new
com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider());
>From my understanding of Java, I will actually need a class for
com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider and whatever dependencies it has.
Also, I get a syntax error when I try to compile. Am I incorrect?

You do not need the class explicitly. It is just a property to be set.
at runtime or in your java.security file.

Oops... I mean "com.sun.net.ssl.internal.ssl.Provider()"

I, too, have been trying to set up my SOAP calls over SSL. The thing I
haven't been able to work out is, where do I get
com.sun.net.ssl.internal.www.protocol? JSSE comes with com.sun.net, but
doesn't seem to come packaged with anything with a longer package name than
com.sun.net.ssl :) Thanks,
