All you have told us so far is that some, non-Java application does not
correct parse what presumably is a valid response.

If you look at http://www.whitemesa.com/interop.htm, you will see the
results of a number of clients and server interop tests, and generally
Apache SOAP 2.2 successfully interoperates when passing floats and doubles
with all of them.
