Japanese TV is well known by foreigners for it's plethora of constant banter by the same people all channels and it's inane contest shows. A recent one was the challenge to see if someone could tread water for 6 hours-$10,000 prize if successful--in a wave pool. Eighteen challenged; they began dropping out at 1 1/2 minutes; one went to 5:57!!?? A nineteen year old young lady went the 6 hours!!
