Glad you liked Sunset Terry, it is a beautiful place to slope soar. Dont
really like landing there though as the landing strip is angled down hill
towards the slope face and having to clear the fence then drop down into the
landing zone can take a toll on ones plane. I think the idea behind the
fence is to keep people out of the vegetation as you are on one giant sand
dune and the plant life is crucial to keeping the dune from eroding. When I
used to fly there in the 70s there was no fence and landing was much easier.
Next time you get there you ought to try Davenport which is just roughly 20
miles or so north. Walter
