There is also a high likelihood that you're using the wrong kind of Krylon.  
The non-enamel type is what you really want -- white #1501, interior/exterior 
works quite well.  Make sure and give it at least 24 hours drying time too.  
Clean the cured surfaces with rubbing alcohol and then window cleaner...  It 
polishes out beautifully with any good, extra fine polishing compound.
