The Best Flying Site?
My favorite spot is Windy Hill with an east wind. Windy Hill is on the San
Francisco Bay peninsula just above Palo Alto and Stanford University.
It features a nice smooth hill face 2000' tall with smooth air and loads of
lift.
The view is absolutely spactacular, all the way from Downtown San Francisco
and the Bay Bridge on the left, to the Oakland Hills and Mt. Diablo, to all
of the South Bay and San Jose to the right. Behind is the Pacific Ocean and
the Redwood Forests. Remember to keep your eye on your plane !!!
