A friend of mine, Jim Scollen has built an Olympic II which he wants to fly in Nostalgia competition. He has built a strong spar that will take a zoom launch but, the wing tips are not torsionally rigid enought even though they are covered with 21st Century film. They flutter on a hard launch. What can he do to stop the flutter during a hard zoom launch and still be Nostalgia legal? Do diagonal ribs that touch the flat bottom of the airfoil (but not the top film) stay within the Nostalgia rules? Regards, Ollie RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
