The owner of this particular shop can be very rude to newbies and new customers. I've seen him act this way lots of time, and in fact, I thought he was pretty much an a**hole when I was a kid. Once I started coming in the shop more often (and buying more stuff, of course), I noticed that he seemed to sort of mellow out. In fact, the guy will bend over backwards to satisfy the regular customers....returns, special orders, matching prices, etc...all no problem. I can't say that being like this is the best way to do business, in fact, the only reason I kept going to the store when I was a kid was because there were no other shops that were closer, but it is nice once you are an established customer.
