Everyone is welcome to come to Muncie this weekend.MIST club is sponsoring a HLG/f5eXtreme contest on saturday followed by a 2meter/ Unlimited man on man battle with L.O.F.T. on Sunday. Pilots meeting at 9:30 both days.
f5eXtreme rules are:X5J EXTREME 2006 X5J eXtreme Rules: 1. Any electric sailplane can be entered, to fly the following: three 10-minute flight windows. One point is awarded for each second of flight time, powered or non-powered. One point is deducted for each second over the 10minute-flight window. A flight begins upon the powered release of the electric sailplane and ends on the contact with any stationary surface. Maximum points possible 600. All fractional seconds are rounded to the closest second. 2. The total accumulated motor run time is unlimited but subtracted from the flight time. Example, 600 flight pts - 19 calculated motor run pts = 581 total round pts. Calculated motor run time will be rounded to the closest 1/10th of a second. 3. Landing points to be measured from the center of the landing circle, to the closest part of the plane. 0-1m 30pts <1-2m 27pts <2-3m 24pts <3-4rm 21pts <4-5m 18pts <5-6m 15pts <6-7m 12pts <7-8m 09pts <8-9m 06pts <9-10m 03pts <10m 00pts 4. Motor handicap: brushless 95%, brushed Cobalt 75%, Ferrite 45%, and Speed400 30%. Actual motor run rounded to the closest second. Then multiplied by the motor percentage. Round this calculated value to the closest 1/10th of a second. 5. Any type of battery cell is legal. 6. Man on Man competition. Not Seeded. 7. The pilot may use unlimited motor runs, however, upon the second start of the motor he may not count his landing points. (Contest directors choice for applying this rule.) The following are scoring guide lines: A. Timers still need two stopwatches. One for the flight window of 10minutes and a second for total accumulated motor run. B. Flight time - round to closest second C. Motor run - round to closest second D. Calculated motor run - round to closest 1/10th of a second RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
