That's right, the Multiplex/Tangent ASH26/Alpina4001 ( they use the same wings ) have no "joiner system" as such, just the 12 mm stainless steel rod, which joins the wings, and carries the bending load, and , as Brian already pointed out, is of the floating type, the joiner rod does not touch the fuselage. The fuselage "hangs" on the wings by means of 2 pins on each wing, which engage in the dorresonding holes in the fuselage. The wings are secured to the fuselage by means of the Multilock system, which workes very well. The Multilocks are strong enough to hold the wings to the fuselage during any flight maneuver you might come up with, put will pop loose on a rough landing, to dissipate energy, and avoid damage.
The building instructions are available on the Tangent HP, but they are in german only, and have no illustrations : http://www.tangent-modelltechnik.com/de/img/pdf/bauanleitung_ash26.pdf Michael -- MTT ------------------------------------------------------------------------ MTT's Profile: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=7522 View this thread: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=529569 RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
