Took it out for the first time today in 8-10mph winds. Launched with my
monster hi-start but only needed 25# to go straight up. This is my third
aileron ship. First was an Artemis and second Tempest. This plane flies
like a trainer. Very little thermal activity but got one flight of
14min+ by keeping it over a tree line. Landings were s l o w almost
vertical with the wind.
I must have had too much rudder aileron mix as as soon as I gave it some
aileron the nose dropped. So, I dialed out most of the mix and it flew
great. Rudder is very effective.
Can hardly wait to get back out Sunday afternoon. Feel like a little kid
with a new toy. Come to think of it, the only difference between men and
boys is price of toys. How true.
